DISYS: Case Study
Digital Intelligence Systems, LLC (DISYS) is an award-winning, global IT staffing and consulting firm that serves a large range of clients from Fortune 500 and other global-scale enterprises worldwide to large banking/financial services firms, oil/gas companies, and healthcare organizations, among others. A unique hybrid technical services firm that does more than merely fill staffing requirements, DISYS delivers strategic value by understanding and responding to a client’s IT environment, problems and challenges either by assembling the most highly talented team for any job or delivering more comprehensive, cost-effective IT solutions.
DISYS, while a fast-growing quality service provider, sought to engage RMR’s assistance in 2010 to help overcome a critical lack of awareness and visibility in their key markets and develop a Social Media presence, essential to their continued growth. RMR immediately hit the ground running on an aggressive integrated marketing communications program for DISYS that included corporate re-design/reconcepting, a new suite of collateral pieces that honed in on each of DISYS’ particular areas of expertise, and a re-designed website to align with the new branding characteristics and relay DISYS’ expertise and key information in a more value-added, user-friendly manner. Additionally, RMR embarked with DISYS on a comprehensive public relations program to establish thought leadership and visibility in the local and national media, including placements received in Capital Business (The Washington Post), The Washington Business Journal, and Virginia Business, as well as key media outlets around each of their office locations throughout the globe and key industry publications including Staffing Industry Analysts Magazine, and SI Review. Along with this RMR also worked with DISYS to develop and place authored articles for DISYS’ team in a number of key industry publications including CIO Magazine, SC Magazine and Materials Handling & Logistics to inform on trends and build visibility for DISYS as a true expert and innovator in their industry.
In the beginning of the program, the RMR and DISYS teams had completed the full re-design and development of the corporate collateral suite, launched the re-designed website, and achieved a number of placements in DISYS’ key publications, including those mentioned above as well as others including Executive Leaders’ Radio, FINS-The Wall Street Journal, Leadership Excellence Magazine, Exploration & Production Magazine, Monster.com, and WTOP-Federal News Radio. In addition to this, as a result of these successful efforts, DISYS was also recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Gold MarCom Award for the Best Branding Campaign in the Country, The Washington Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Awards (2010), a Finalist Mention (2010) followed by a Win (2013) for the Greater Washington region of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award, SmartCEO Magazine’s SmartCXO Awards – CIO/CTO Category (2011), SmartCEO Magazine’s Future50 Awards (2011) and The Washington Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies List (2011).
RMR’s current program for DISYS is primarily focused on continuing the public relations and Social Media successes achieved over the previous years, while continuing to increase DISYS’ recognition as a thought leader through targeted Webinar events and increased visibility among key media outlets and industry analysts. DISYS is now actively communicating with its current clients, analysts and prospective clients through its Social Media profiles. The public relations efforts are also being amplified through the Facebook and Twitter profiles in order to increase visibility and engage key markets. Incorporated in 1994 as a certified Minority Business Enterprise, DISYS has posted an eight-year average of 50% growth per year and currently ranks as the seventh-fastest growing company in the staffing industry.
