Established in 1953, Smokey Glen Farm is a family owned and operated event space that has set the standard for excellence for high performance and service across the Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Virginia areas. With a variety of event spaces and options, Smokey Glen Farm has the ability to accommodate different sizes of guests and is open year-round for an experience that offers relaxing country views, fun, award-winning food, and a full-service approach with its staff of over 200 with a focus on sustainability, green initiatives, and giving back to the community.

Solution:

Smokey Glen Farm came to RMR after noticing a decrease in its corporate business over recent years, in need of expertise to target this audience segment more effectively while modernizing its image to resonate more among these corporate audiences.

Results:

RMR worked with Smokey Glen Farm to implement a marketing communications program to focus on the corporate market within the local DC metro region. The campaign included an added emphasis on revitalizing its branding and positioning to raise awareness for Smokey Glen Farm as a leader in sustainability, green initiatives, and youth mentorship and a premier venue for corporate events. Smokey Glen Farm has been featured in several leading industry and local area publications, such as Bethesda Magazine, Washington Parent, and Mid-Atlantic Events Magazine. RMR also negotiated a cost-savings media buy for a campaign with The Washington Business Journal as well as secured a lead generation email campaign to run in the local Society for Human Resource Managers (SHRM), driving several new business opportunities.
